Technique:
Chris works mainly with watercolor paint on paper. She uses thin and light
washes with punches of color to give dimension. She also works with oil, acrylic,
pastel, pencil, gouache, ink, collage and mixed media. Anything that can make a
mark is considered an acceptable tool. |

About Chris: Exhibiting a softness in artful and painterly movements, she brings with her a passion for expression that captures our deepest of emotions. Chris Carter’s ability to connect with color and texture both captivates and challenges the viewer. A gifted artisan, her work finds a home in the hearts of all who experience it. Initially coming from a portraiture and architectural background, Carter received her BFA in Painting with Honors for Independent Studies in Photography at Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, MA. She presently works in her studio in New Jersey and her original paintings are held in various private and public collections. |
