Peter
Krobath |
Technique:
Peter creates realistic watercolor & oil paintings on paper, board,
or canvas. A medium normally favored for its delicacy, Peter's paintings
are deep and rich. Strong, saturated colors are balanced with the medium's
defining translucency to create art that is vibrant. |
About Peter: Impassioned by the richness of our nation's landscapes, Peter's paintings can be seen as more about naturalism than realism. Free from a stylized subjectivity, his portrayal of America's heart is remarkable. Peter was born in Graz, Austria and immigrated to the United States at the age of five. With no formal art training, he entered Syracuse University School of Art, where he received his BFA. Over the past 25 years, Peter has been employed with two of the country's most prominent marketing and promotion agencies. He currently lives and paints in New York. His work is held privately in collections throughout the country and parts of Europe. |
