Robert
Taylor |
Technique: Robert is inspired by the countenance
of history; of leaders who have, by their own words and actions, altered the collective course of humankind. Not just a painter of
portraits, Robert’s kinetic style captures the passion, emotion and driving force behind the face, seeking to reveal the soul of
his subjects. |
About Robert: Always a keen observer of those around him, Robert discovered early in his life that he had a gift for capturing the essence of a subject's personality on paper and canvas. Now a professional artist, Robert focuses on both faces and the human form, painting with broad, gestural brush strokes, channeling his subject's inner essence with visual brevity...and bringing it to life on canvas. Robert was born in Bethlehem, PA, and studied at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. Following college, Robert pursued a successful career in Strategic Branding and Packaging Design, during which he directed scores of high-profile brand initiatives on behalf of Procter & Gamble, Disney and Mattel Toys. He started painting professionally seven years ago, and his work now hangs in many private collections throughout the United States. He is also the Executive Director of the Kent Island Federation of Arts on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. |
